“If you go into a recording studio with Simon you can expect a skilled and efficient recording engineer and a talented sound mixer. His attitude during our recording sessions was one of a relaxed professional who was comfortable using the equipment and also unafraid to interject with constructive advice on my performance in order to get the best possible recordings. He always had time to follow through any strange ideas I had, which allowed me to be creative without the feeling that I was being judged. I can be quite a nervous performer and I really valued the freedom that gave me.

The end result is an album of songs which sound just how I wanted them. Most people can hear the difference between a high and low quality production value and Simon certainly delivers high-end work. The opportunity to stay in the studio for the mixing session not only taught me a lot about production but also allowed me to shape my project in the way that I had envisaged it. Simon’s creativity also came through in these sessions as he interpreted how I wanted the songs to sound and made them sparkle.”
